Ideal for performers of sixteen plus, this bespoke online course is for those considering drama school entry, and can help to enhance a personal awareness of the specific needs necessary for successful Shakespearean performance. An understanding of the background to Shakespeare's writing, and the specific settings of chosen texts is a must at this level, and this course can help you dissect your chosen play and characters sufficiently to communicate hidden information to an audience. Using the text and punctuation as a guide, we will build to a mastery of your chosen piece, identifying the vocal, physical and facial choices which fuse your skills with the requirements of the character. The course will focus on character study, textual understanding and the learning and performance of a script which would be suitable for an accredited examination or audition.
